We spent a lovely couple of days here in August. The cabin is set on the hill side with fantastic views across the moor. Duncan the owner was brilliant; genuinely keen for us to get the most out of our stay and indeed very accommodating. The cabin is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Nice touches like the selection of board games and the bottle of wine were really appreciated. The location is fantastic. It feels like you are miles from anywhere and completely isolated, but are actually only a few miles from the local town. Glasgow is also within easy reach.The camp fire/fire pit was brilliant and we were joined by deer a couple of Duncan's sheep! A great experience! I would highly recommend staying here!
I have just returned from a wonderful three day break with my husband at Burnhead bothies and cannot find any faults with this beautiful Scottish gem. Set in idyllic surroundings with the back drop of the Campie Hills and far reaching views over and beyond Glasgow in the distance. This is the perfect place to come to escape and unwind for a few days. The bothy jas been tastefully decorated and is fitted with all the modern convenieneces such as power, gas & running hot water. Ahead of our trip Duncan the owner provided us with all the necessary information and was on hand when we arrived and therought our stay to ensure we knew how everything worked and offer tips on yhe local area including the spectacular walks o the doorstep. The icing on the caje was the adorable and friendly flock of sheep and lambs that shared the field with the bothy and were never far away to provide entertainment. Don't think about it, just book!!
